I have a fairly extensive collection of Lensbabies, from one of the first hand-built ones to the latest Spark 2. A fluorine coat is also applied to the extreme front and end of the lens surface, effectively repelling dust, water droplets, grease, and dirt for easy maintenance. You need 5.6mm to get a circular image on DX. On DX it fills the frame at 11mm, but cant zoom out far enough to fit the complete circle on the small DX sensor. ![]() It zooms from a circular image at 8mm to filling the full FX frame at 15mm. When I went to University, my parents bought me a Practica LLC (which I hated!). Can take a picture of the entire sky of 50 mm dia. This 8-15mm lens is Nikons sharpest and most useful fisheye ever. I started taking photographs with an old Zenit B and a Helios 44 lens that belonged to a friend in about 1972.
